what to expect

We Can't Wait to Meet You!

What Can I Expect

When I See A Dietitian

You will receive an email with necessary documents to complete before your scheduled appointment. Please make sure to fill out all of the forms accurately and return them promptly so that your appointment can be arranged.

We ask that this paperwork is returned, via fax or email, 3-5 days prior to your appointment. This allows more time during the appointment for us to get to know each other and develop your individualized plan.

At our clinic, we believe that creating a healthy lifestyle is a journey that takes time and effort. We understand that different people have different needs and goals, so we strive to provide personalized care to each of our patients. Our team makes sure to get to know each patient and their individual health concerns in order to create a plan that works best for them.

We do not give out “diets” but, depending on the needs you have, we may discuss specific eating plans, such as carbohydrate management for diabetes, gluten-free plans for Celiac Disease, etc, to help you manage your specific and individual needs.

Through our approach, we aim to help our patients reach their health goals and create lasting changes to their lifestyle. Our primary goal is to work with you to come up with a plan that is individualized and realistic.

Do I need to do anything

to prepare for my appointment?

Keeping a written or electronic food log for a few days prior to your meeting with the dietitian can be very helpful, but it is not mandatory.

When you meet with the dietitian, it may be helpful to bring a notepad and something to write with in case you want to take notes.

In order to ensure proper treatment and assessment, initial appointments are generally scheduled for a 60 minute time slot. However, follow-up appointments may have extended or reduced lengths depending on the client's specific needs. These subsequent sessions can range from 30 to 45 minutes in duration. It is important to note that the frequency and number of follow-up appointments may vary based on the individual's progress and personalized treatment plan established by their healthcare provider. Make sure you are able to be present during the entire meeting (30-60 minutes). Avoid scheduling your appointment when you may be disrupted by children, work, or a poor internet connection (if using Zoom for telehealth).

Through our approach, we aim to help our patients reach their health goals and create lasting changes to their lifestyle. Our primary goal is to work with you to come up with a plan that is individualized and realistic.
